When a client wanted a card for her avid Game of Thrones fan boyfriend, we worked together to create a concept that would make the card a gift in and of itself.  What better way to celebrate your birthday than by appreciating all the gruesome ways you haven’t died?

It’s the perfect piece for a going away party or a housewarming gift.

We’ve been celebrating Mr. Rogers birthday all day by posting some of our favorite quotes of his.  Here’s the compilation post of all 8 of them.  Thanks for being our neighbor.

These days, you can turn a piece of digital art into so many things (water bottles, memo pads, luggage tags, bed spreads!) that keeping track of all the options can get a little confusing. That’s how one client who ordered a piece of typographic art for a bumper sticker sized car magnet end up with, well, a car door magnet. He’s opting to put it on his fridge instead, but he promises he’ll put it on the hood of his car if he ever goes to Portland.Order your own piece of typographic art for a hilariously over sized magnet here: chickadeeink.tumblr.com/typographic-art

I wanted to celebrate House of Card’s second season premiere by commemorating my favorite quote from the series.  I’m a sucker for whenever Frank Underwood turns to the camera and dispels some wisdom (some excellent, some I’m sure sounded better in the writer’s mind than in the character’s voice) but this has to be the best one yet.

Valentine’s day is over, so I get to post my Valentines without risk of spoiling them for their recipients. My boyfriend and I both like the song On the Radio by Regina Spektor (go listen!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHAhnJbGy9M) and these lines in particular. Highlighting that bridge you and your best friend always sing along to, or the chorus that makes your Saturday night, makes a great gift for whoever shares your love of the song, or even a nice treat for yourself.
